Our Vision
At Silver Slippers, we are committed to helping individuals stay independent, active, and engaged in their community. Our goal is to support people in maintaining a high quality of life while fostering connections with others. We welcome all adults in Northamptonshire, including those experiencing loneliness or isolation, providing a friendly and inclusive space to meet new people and share experiences.
Our Programs
We organize a variety of activities and workshops to encourage social interaction, physical well-being, and personal development. From yoga, bingo, and chair exercises to cultural days, arts and crafts, mental health support, and confidence-building sessions, we ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in activities that suit their interests. We also gather feedback from our attendees to continuously improve and tailor our events to meet their needs.
Building a Stronger Community
Silver Slippers is more than just an events group, it’s a movement to create a welcoming and diverse community. Our team actively promotes our mission at local events, collaborates with Wellingborough Town Council and North Northamptonshire Council, and shares updates on social media. By encouraging people to “Step Up” and get involved, we aim to break the stigma around traditional day centres, foster friendships, and integrate families, ultimately creating a thriving and connected community for all.
